Carol Morokoff for Boonton Town Council, Ward 1
Carol Morokoff is a proven fighter. She plans to bring the skills and experience she’s gained in her career as a trial attorney focused on rooting out fraud, waste to Boonton’s Town Council. As a 20-year resident of Boonton, she understands the challenges families face and is committed to working to keep the town affordable for everyone. As a longtime leader of the Boonton Elks Lodge #1405 and past District Leader for The National Elks, Carol brought a renewed commitment to finanicial responsibility and inspired a new generation of leaders, helping to build the strong organization that exists today.
If elected to represent Ward 1, Carol will tackle real quality-of-life issues head-on. She will fight to ensure construction projects are completed—not abandoned—by implementing “completion bonds.” Carol is also dedicated to open communication, restoring public comment via Zoom and ensuring that all written comments submitted by town residents are read aloud at council meetings. With her mix of legal expertise, community leadership, and practical problem-solving, Carol Morokoff offers Boonton a leader with the experience, compassion, and common sense that the town deserves.
Danielle Cascone for Boonton Town Council, Ward 2
Danielle and her family chose to make Boonton their home after being drawn to the town’s vibrant Main Street, cozy library, and historic charm. As a Senior Operations Specialist for a business consulting firm, Danielle brings strong project management and problem-solving skills that she’s eager to put to work on Boonton’s Town Council. She is also deeply involved in the community as the Reporting Secretary for the Boonton P.T.A. and as a parent with a child in Boonton Public Schools. Public service runs in her family—her grandfather was a WWII veteran, her father served in the Army, and her husband served in the Navy.
As a candidate for Ward 2, Danielle is focused on practical improvements that will directly benefit residents. She plans to work closely with the Department of Public Works to address infrastructure issues and eliminate eyesores, while also prioritizing safety by advocating for traffic calming measures like rumble strips and speed bumps. Danielle is also committed to making Town Council more accessible and transparent by restoring public comments via Zoom and ensuring that all written comments are read aloud during meetings.
Kimberly Mazzie for Boonton Town Council, Ward 3
Kim has called Boonton home for more than 25 years, first as a renter and now as a homeowner, giving her a unique understanding of the needs of all residents. She is committed to protecting Boonton’s unique character while ensuring that local government works for everyone. As a regional sales manager for a national heating and cooling company, Kim brings strong leadership skills, strategic planning expertise, and creative problem-solving to the table. Her love for Boonton extends beyond her home—shared with her two rescued dogs, Mattie and Bennie—to a dedication to fostering a thriving, inclusive community for all.
If elected, Kim will advocate for a designated “Renters Advocate” on the Town Council to hold landlords accountable for maintaining safe, clean properties that follow existing town ordinances. She will work closely with Boonton Main Street and local business leaders to reduce vacancies and strengthen the town economy. Kim will also focus increased trash collection in public spaces, addressing long-standing eyesores, and improving pedestrian safety. With her deep local roots, practical skills, and community-first approach, Kim is ready to make Boonton an even better place to live and work.
Luisa Lopez for Boonton Town Council, Ward 4
Luisa and her family chose to live in Boonton because of its small-town charm, close-knit community, and vibrant character—and she is determined to preserve what makes it special. She is a proud Latina, a first-generation Colombian American, a devoted wife, and mother of three children who all attend Boonton Public Schools. Professionally, Luisa works in pharmaceutical drug development, supporting precision medicine in clinical trials, a career that requires focus, collaboration, and problem-solving. Her deep appreciation for Boonton’s welcoming spirit fuels her commitment to serve as a fresh voice on the Town Council,
As a candidate, Luisa is ready to address the challenges facing Boonton directly. She will fight over-development by reassessing zoning regulations and ensuring that new development aligns with community values. To make streets safer for walkers and bikers, she will push for traffic-calming measures such as speed bumps and better signage. She will also prioritize cleaner public spaces by increasing trash pickup on Main Street and in parks, while enforcing ordinances on waste disposal. With her dedication to public safety and preserving Boonton’s identity, Luisa offers the fresh leadership needed for a thriving community.
